Acoustic / Singer Songwriter / Alternative
I first picked up a guitar at the age of five. I wanted to play Hotel California by the Eagles because it blew my youngster mind. The guitar my parents gave me was much too large - so I laid it on my lap. 25 years later, I've at least moved it up into a more acceptable playing stance.
I released my debut EP in 2006 and sold 1500 copies. I'm sure there are a few unopened CDs laying in a discount bin from CD Baby. I had a tremendously talented group of lads working with me and performed extensively in the Twin Cities and surrounding area. I performed "Wheaton County" live on" Minnesota Live" on KARE 11, while "A Way" was the first single played on 89.3 the Current and Cities 97's Acoustic Sunrise.
The Citypages called me a cross between Sarah McLachlan and Dessa. They touted my upside down-left handed style as being new and noteworthy.
I took a pretty significant break from music to pursue my health and happiness. I competed as a semi-professional mountain biker for Blue Cross Blue Shield of Minnesota as well as developed a great career in the automotive industry.
On a whim, I was invited by a family member to check out a new music studio that was opening near me. I was introduced to the owner and right away begged him to let me pick up a guitar and mess around in the corner. Now I'm blessed to call that man my producer. We've reworked some material, thrown some out, and written brand new tracks. All in all, the second EP is going to be my hellcat. Intelligent lyrics and powerful musicianship...and I cannot wait!
